Daniel J. Block is a shareholder of Robinson Waters & O'Dorisio, P.C. Dan's practice emphasizes business transactions (including business entity formations, business purchases and sales, and contract drafting, negotiation and review); franchising (such as establishing new franchise systems, advising franchisors on U. S. and international franchising matters, and advising prospective and existing franchisees); employment law and employee relations (including advising employers and employees on employment law and policies, employment agreements, employment terminations, and noncompetition agreements); and intellectual property (such as U. S. and international trademark registration and intellectual property licensing). Dan also assists clients with commercial real estate transactions. 

His experience prior to joining RWO includes over seven years as in-house counsel to a restaurant franchisor, and employment as a state securities examiner and in several areas of business management of a retail store chain.

Dan has testified on behalf of the Colorado Association of Commerce & Industry ("CACI") at Colorado legislature committee hearings, and he is a member of the CACI Labor and Employment Council. He has been the speaker at continuing legal education programs on franchise law and employment law. Dan has written many articles on legal issues, in areas such as franchising, employment, and trademarks. He is a member of the American Bar Association Business Law Section and Forum on Franchising and the Colorado Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section; and he has been a member of the Competitiveness Committee of the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation. He received his law degree from the University of Oregon in 1991 after obtaining a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Idaho State University in 1986 and a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Arizona State University in 1981.
